Loose Leaf Teas

Our teas are sourced directly from tea gardens in Japan, Taiwan, and China. They are from farmers who harvest and produce in a socially responsible and eco-friendly sustainable manner.
  
Each hand-tied blossom is a work of art! Presented to you in a beautiful stem glass, and blooming before your eyes.
     
Karigane
Hand-crafted Japanese green tea. Rich, kelpy, complex nuances; almost coffee-colored with a warm, full taste.		  
Peaceful Garden - White Tea
Jasmine flowers emerge first. As the blossom opens, the large red amaranth appears, and the delicious aroma of the hidden lavender reveals itself.
     
Kyoto Bancha
Aged in jars buried underground for 2 to 3 years. Deep chestnut; almost coffee-colored with a warm, full taste.		   Blooming Garden - White Tea
From this gorgeous heart-shaped bud blooms an Oriental day lily, a bright pink amaranth, and the aroma of jasmine tucked deep inside.
     
Lung Ching
One of the ten most famous teas. Soft, rich, toasty flavor with chestnut overtones. 		  Garden Peony - White Tea
Delicate, white downy tea tips are hand-tied into a star topped with a single rose bud. When it "blooms" it becomes a huge peony flower.
     
Ti Kwan Yin
The first brew is very light with a fabulous floral aroma. The 2nd to 6th cups develop a white peach background note with a velvety, vanilla smoothness. 		  Madame Butterfly - Green Tea
A gorgeous Oriental lily appears to emerge like a butterfly from its cocoon. Osthmanthus flowers add the sweet nectar and aroma.
     
Pu-erh
This 2000 vintage is deep chestnut, very dense, with no bitterness. A velvety feeling suggesting a forest of woody and earthy tones not common in such a young Pu-erh is revealed in the first cup.		   Blooming Basket - Green Tea
A large "basket" with a jasmine flower handle holds a ruby-red amaranth flowed tucked within the tea tips.
